UNM Football: Lobos scheduled to kick off 8-game regular season against Colorado State on 10/24

The University of New Mexico football team will kick off their 8-game 2020 season on the road against Colorado State on October 24th, according to a release today from the school. UNM is scheduled to play its first home game at University Stadium on Halloween against San Jośe State.

The Lobos will play road games against Hawaii, Air Force, and Utah State, and their three remaining home games include matchups against Wyoming, Nevada, and Fresno State.

With regards to fan attendance and whether or not UNM will be able to play home games under the state’s strict COIVD-19 rules, UNM Director of Athletics Eddie Nuñez released the following statement:

“We will continue to work with our local and state officials to ensure the safety of all and that proper protocols and procedures are in place. We feel very good about the stringent and frequent testing procedures mandated by the Mountain West.”
