Sheriron Jones Suspended Indefinitely

Sheriron Jones will not play this week for UNM as they host Hawaii on Saturday, and his time as a quarterback for the Lobos may be coming to an end with the announcement by head coach Bob Davie that Jones has been suspended indefinitely.

Davie would not elaborate on what caused the suspension or give any indication if the punishment is due to something on the field or off.

Tevaka Tuioti and Trae Hall will be the only two quarterbacks on the active roster on Saturday. Davie said the team is considering emergency QB options as a third backup.

Tuioti leads UNM with 720 passing yards on 43 of 87 pass attempts.
