Carlton Bragg Arrested and Charged with DWI

The 2019-20 season has been a tumultuous year for Carlton Bragg Jr, with a three-game suspension for off-field issues.

His off-field issues went from bad to worse.

According to an article by Geoff Grammer of the Albuquerque Journal and first reported by DiaDeLobos via Twitter, Bragg was arrested early Sunday morning and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and possession of under one ounce of marijuana.

Bragg has been released from police custody.

The University of New Mexico Athletic Department released the following statement regarding the matter:

“The UNM Athletic Department has been notified that there was an incident regarding senior Carlton Bragg Jr. early this morning. The department is aware of the situation is looking into it further. At this time, there will be no additional comments from anyone at UNM.”

No punishment has been levied against the Bragg by the team at this time. However, based on his troubles this season, it would be a shock to see Bragg play another game for the Lobos.
