Sam Logwood latest Lobo to transfer away from UNM

The University of New Mexico men’s basketball team lost another player on Monday, with the announcement that Sam Logwood has decided transfer to another school for his senior season.

Logwood, a 6-7, 210-pound guard/forward from Indianapolis, IN, joins Anthony Mathis and Elijah Brown as three Lobos opting to leave the program after the 2016-2017 season. Logwood finished this past season as the third-leading scorer after averaging 7.3 points per game.

“We support Sam in this decision and wish him nothing but the best. He was a pleasure to have in our program, and he will be missed. He will always be a part of our Lobo family,” said UNM head coach Craig Neal in a release from the school.

With Brown and Logwood leaving via transfer and Tim Williams graduating, Neal will be without his three leading scorers next season.
