UNM Basketball: Lobos return home to face Montana

Although their first road trip of the season had mixed results, the Lobos (0-0, 6-2) ended it on a high note. After losing to Auburn, the Lobos turned things around and defeated the Wisconsin Badgers 59-50. The win marked the first time the Lobos had defeated a Power 5 school since 2012.

In their return to Dreamstyle Arena, the Lobos will play host to Montana (0-0, 3-4), a team they haven’t played well historically. Although the Lobos won the last time the two schools met, back in 2010, they are only 1-4 in the five most recent games between them.

Montana got off to a slow start this season, but with wins in their last two games, they are showing signs of turning things around.

Even with their momentum building, the Griz face a tall task going on short rest against the Lobos. Paul Weir’s team still features four different players averaging double figures even after the tough road trip. JaQuan Lyle and Carlton Bragg Jr will be leading the charge for the Lobos as they look to make it two in a row against Montana and begin another winning streak.

The game will be broadcast live on AT&T SportsNet, with tip-off scheduled for 1:05 pm on Sunday, December 1.
