Cowboys to hire Mike McCarthy as head coach

According to Jay Glazer of Fox Sports, the Cowboys will hire Mike McCarthy as their next head coach. McCarthy went 125-77-2 in 13 seasons with the Packers.

McCarthy won Super Bowl XLV after going 10-6 with the Packers in 2010. Although he had great success with the Packers in the regular season his 10-8 record in the playoffs, along with a rocky relationship down the stretch with quarterback Aaron Rodgers, ended his tenure with Green Bay.

McCarthy is the ninth head coach in Dallas franchise history, following the departed Jason Garrett, who went 77-59 in nine seasons with the Cowboys.
